Lawrence Kotlikoff wrote in the St. Louis Review,
(and I'm paraphrasing a bit). "The U.S. government is bankrupt, insofar as
it will be unable to pay its creditors". He also went on to suggest that the U.S.
should immediately close its Social Security programs, use a voucher system for
Medicare to

My grand daughter got her H1N1 flu shot today.
She normally doesn't cry, but she did this time.
She made the comment, "The doctor broke my arm".
She was O.K. after grandma gave her a sucker, but she
told the story to everyone, how the doctor "broke" her arm.

January 20,2009. Start date. First post-Crappy.
Most of my first posts were infantile-total garbage!
No graphics, single spacing, wall of words-no readership.
My first 20 or so posts had a readership on ONE-Liz Moras.
Iguess because she got me into this, she felt obligated to encourage me,
and for that,

How many of you have experienced this?
You're driving along and it starts pouring-in sheets!
Most people put the wipers on high speed, but it's little help.
TRY THIS
Put on a pair of sunglasses-even at night.
All of a sudden your vision is clear. You still see the

Lately, much has been written about the Mayan calendar,
and the disturbing fact that it does not project past the date 2012.
Hollywood has even made a movie called 2012, (due for release soon), which some
"experts" say, is the end of the world as predicted by this Mayan

It's that time of the year again-the Monsoon season.
I'm sitting in my office right now at 5:30 PM; it's pitch black
already and the wind is howling. The rain is coming at the house vertically.
I really don't like this time of the year. To much grayness and damp.
Fortunately,

This photo came across my desk the other day.
What's wrongwith this picture?
Anyone see it?
In most third world countries, when disaster strikes;
famine, earthquake or flood, business goes on as usual.
That's the spirit of survivorship! I applaud that.
But jeez, ya' gotta' hope those aren't

(I don't get points for this; it's a joke, but you need to start off the week on the right foot).
A guy is driving around the backwoods of Montana when he sees
a sign outside of a house. "Talking dog for sale". He's curious, so he

I'm playing a a game with myself. (No, not that kind of a game).
I'm approaching 200,000 points AND 500 posts, so I'm "blowing off"
excess posts over the ten to get the total up to match the points. Problem
is, people keep commenting on the "blow-offs" and it's screwing

On Exercise By: Terry Chenier (Homelife Glenayre Realty)
Some interesting statistics on exercise.
Walking can add minutes to your life. That enables you at
85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $7,000 a month.
My grandfather started walking when he was 60; he is now 97 years old,
and we

never liked fishing. One day at the bait and tackle shop, I got to

MOVING DAY! By: Terry Chenier (Homelife Glenayre Realty)
Recently, I sold a house to a nice older couple. They had
lived for 38 years in the same place that they had built, but it was run down
and was becoming too much work.
Saturday was moving day at noon.
I arrived at 11:45; the last box was being put
