The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB)has released the Sales Statistics for August 2007. Their press release indicates a large increase over August 2006 for the entire Board. For the Parksville/Qualicum Beach Area Exert from VIREB News Release Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) sales summary data released by the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) for June 2007 shows an increase in sales volume and most average sale prices. The average sale price across the VIREB region for June 2007 was $330,537.

On from June 15-17 Qualicum Beach hosts "Father's Day, Seaside Cruizers Show & Shine" with over 700 classic custom cars and trucks on display. This has previously been mentioned on Oprah's Top 10 things to do on Father's Day. This is just one of the many events scheduled for this summer.
