As homeowners attempt to prepare their properties for the fire season, rumors are flaring throughout Lake County that have sparked confusion regarding the specifics of the lot-clearing permits.
According to Ron Yoder, Lake County resource planner, there is no permit required for lot clearing, as long as the soil is not disturbed.
