I know it's Wordless Wednesday and this photo speaks all for itself, but how amazing that we can live in such beautiful places and sometimes take it for granted. With so much going on in the world from COVID to Politics we seem to be noticing less and less the beauty around us and all that we truly have to be thankful for. It's no wonder we often see the light at the end of the tunnel as the train coming to get us. Nature is so peaceful and so calming. How often do you get to sit with it? How often do you make time for it? Many are stuck in front of TV screens, computer monitors and cell phones. We sit there like something is going to change and in some ways it does. But, the only real thing that changes is our mindset and how we start to look at the world or the things around us becaus...

The Lake Arrowhead Real Estate market is hot. There seems to be more buyers than sellers, but when homes are listed at the right price and the house is marketed correctly, you attract the right buyers for the sale. Not every marketing strategy is right for every house being sold. A lot of factors go into the who, what, when and where's of marketing a home. From price to location. This is why you want and need an experienced, licensed Realtor working for you.  This home went pending in 18 days. Why? Because it was priced right it's features were marketed and it was marketed to the right buyers. If you want to sell your home, give me a call. No hassle, no obligation and no fuss. Let's talk about how we can market your home and the best price for getting the home sold like I have this one ...

I see some of the coolest things in my travels but the wildlife is one of my favorites. Here is Mommy and baby deer ( little old Bambi :) ) just out for a stroll in the gorgeous weather! Some cool facts that I learned about deer ( because I love to google stuff ) is that the first deer was found about 4 million years ago. Wait, what? Yep. Scientist believe that deer once inhabited bitter-cold regions around the artic circle.Deer are also the only animal that has antlers and they are the fastest growing living tissue on earth. Antlers are mainly on male deer however, other species like the caribou, the females can also have antlers. Another fun fact....The caribou (aka reindeer) have been domesticated! Who wouldn't love to have a reindeer as a pet?

It's that time of year when everyone is pulling out the pumpkins, ghosts and goblins. The air is crisp and the leaves are changing colors. This year the fall trends are full of style and they may be worth taking a look at especially if you are selling your house time of year. It doesn't matter if you live in the mountains of California or the desert of Arizona, these fall trends will make any living space trendy! The colors are neutral and pair well with this just about any style or color you currently have in your home. There is lots of texturing and layering and rattan accents as well. Knit pillow covers in burlap, plaid, rust and gray colors are really popular this year. I know it's an odd title and even more of an odd question. But, I am addressing this because I've had a lot of first time home-buyers make statements like " I've been renting for years, why is it so hard to get a mortgage when I've been paying for years" or a statement like " It's like jumping through hoops to get a mortgage. I've been paying rent, isn't it the same thing?". Actually, no it's not. It isn't the same at all. In fact renting a home is very different than owning a home. Here is why.  First, when you are renting you are paying someone Else's mortgage and/or providing a second income or savings for the homeowner in the event there home is paid for. Regardless of whether you pay rent or not, the homeowner still has an obligation to his mortgage, taxes, insurance and repairs. W...

One of the best parts of being a Realtor is making dreams come true. Every time a home is sold or purchased that's exactly what we do. We allow others to complete chapters in their lives and create new ones. Whether you're a seasoned seller or buyer or first time home-buyer, I value every person I work with because every persons story is different. I love to hear them all and be a part of your journey no matter what that journey may be.   If you are looking to sell your home, upgrade or downgrade or are looking to purchase a cabin on the mountain or a modern home on the water, I would love to be a part of your journey. Whatever your story is or whatever new chapter you're about to start, I will help you every step of the way and be there long after our business transaction is over. I'm ...

We are still learning a lot about Prescott, AZ, but the journey has been amazing. The night sky is absolutely beautiful, in fact, picture perfect. Prescott, AZ living is surely different than what I am accustom to on the mountain in Lake Arrowhead, but the beauty is impeccable. While both areas are beautiful in their own way, you really cannot compare the two because they are each so unique.  I love strolling through downtown Prescott and seeing all of the monuments and statues that do not seem to be a rarity around here. In fact, everywhere I go there seems to be some sort of statue that represents its rich town history or a statue that pays tribute to Veteran's or Wars. They are each mighty in their beauty and a true testament to the pride that Prescott takes in remembrance and honor....

I saw this today and it really hit home. Today is the eve of 911 and at this very moment there are parents reading their children bedtime stories. There are husbands and wives rushing to complete last minute packing. Somewhere there is a firefighter hoping for a decent night sleep on a cot somewhere in the firehouse and there is a hospital praying for a slow night. This is life as many of us know it. We go about our day and our nights like we will get a thousand more never once stopping to think it could very well be our last. Who thinks like that anyway? I know all about how we are suppose to live for today, seizing moments and being thankful for the day and not worrying about tomorrow because mostly tomorrow is out of our control, but.....This poem says it all. None of us knew what 9-...

In the early morning hours as most everyone has seen Louisiana took on a powerful Hurricane Laura. A Category 4 hurricane packing a punch of 150 mph winds and being just shy of a Category 5. If you have been on social media today you would have seen the mass destruction this powerful storm left behind. Homes under water. Roofs blown up or completely peeled back exposing the inside of everything that someone holds dear. Business around the cities completely destroyed. Glass blown out of buildings and bricks that once covered a building piled on the sidewalk. So many people will be homeless, lives are lost, and it will probably take years to rebuild beautiful perishes and lives. It is in times like this when I look around and I am so thankful for so many things. Thankful for my life and m...

Living up here in Lake Arrowhead on the Lake you know how much I love the water. While traveling to Prescott, AZ recently I was able to experience Watson Lake. Watson Lake is one of two reservoirs at the Granite Dells, in Prescott. It was formed in the early 1900's when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a damn. The City of Prescott bought the reservoir and surrounding land in 1997 to preserve it as recreational land.   Spanned across 70 acres with a surface elevation of 5,100' it is stocked with channel catfish, large-mouth bass, rainbow trout and bluegill. Surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenes with mountains full of rock and large boulders outlining the shore. It's especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset, but no matter the time of day the views are spectacul...

While exploring Prescott, Arizona we stopped for a bite to eat to satisfy our Italian craving. I'm so glad we did. Right in Prescott, AZ is a little place directly across the street from the courthouse and boy do they have amazing pizza! Dining is a great atmosphere with lots of old movie prints on the walls that you can gaze at while you enjoy your meal. We met the Chef who calls himself "Grumpy Sicilian" and their pizza is made by a true 100% Sicilian (yep, the guy who calls himself "Grumpy Sicilian". We absolutely loved our Margarita pizza and I'm sure we will be craving this again sometime soon. If you're a foodie like me, sorry if I made you hungry :) If you are ever in Prescott, AZ you definitely want to give this place a try. The "Grumpy Sicilian" is really funny, too!

These are my adorable grand-piggies and their momma. About a week old they love to snuggle, run in circles and are already playing with each other. Since visiting them I have learned some facts about pigs which are pretty cool. Did you know that pigs are really smart? Their intelligence is actually higher than a dogs. Also, in their natural state they are really clean animals. They are also more tolerant of cold weather than they are heat because they don't have sweat glands. This is one of the reasons they love hanging out in the mud. It's keeps them cool. I also learned that if trained a piglet can actually learn their name at about two to three weeks old. They can also learn tricks faster than dogs and when they learn their name, when called, they will come. Pigs also have great memo...

While traveling to Prescott, AZ in July, i loved seeing how patriotic the town was. All over flags were waving, gazebos were decorated, store windows and even fire stations and historic buildings had flags draped throughout. I am a patriotic person year round, but I will say that seeing the displays during times like Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day makes things even more patriotic and joyful.   It's almost like Christmas. We love Christmas, but there is something so much more magical about the time of year when lights are twinkling, sleigh bells are ringing and snowflakes are glistening. Seeing all of the pride in this town during the month of July reminded me how much pride we truly take in our country, our veterans and all the men and women who served our country and even...

Recently, my other half and I made our way to Prescott, Arizona. There is so much to see there and Prescott, Arizona Living appears to be plentiful. The area is rich in history featuring historic Whiskey Row, The Sharlot Hall Museum and the Smoki Museum. These museums are full of exhibits, artifacts and documents that pioneer-era history. While I am not familiar yet with so many beautiful buildings and the history, it is an absolutely beautiful place with crisp green foliage that create an amazing backdrop to some of the most historic buildings. I've also heard that Watson Lake is home to hundreds of different species of birds and it also has granite boulders!  It is a beautiful place, especially if you love History. I love to travel and learn about areas and see some of the historic bu...

Real Estate is going strong here in Lake Arrowhead. In less than 24 hours I had two houses go pending. Some may call this luck, but a lot of hard work goes into getting homes sold fast. From the right listing price to how the home is advertised and staged. Action steps are a key factor in selling a home. Knowing the right places to advertise, and how to market a specific property is key to getting it sold quickly and efficiently. If you are thinking about selling your home, give me a call. I know Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding areas. I live, work and play here. I know how to market homes to all prospective buyers and I market your home in a unique way to engage everyone. My online presence is strong and that is where a homebuyer starts their search. With houses being sold this quick...

A couple of months ago during shelter in place I was inspired to paint a bunch of round landscaping logs and lined my driveway with them. I found painting to be very relaxing and therapeutic and loved the uplifted feeling from the vibrant colors they gave me. Over the last few weeks I am now, for fun, learning how to paint rocks. Wherever my imagination can take me is how I design the rocks. While I am certainly not a pro by any means, I love how they are turning out. Sometimes, it's just the little things that makes us happy. Nothing fancy. Just a rock, some paint and a brush. There is nothing like hanging out on the porch, enjoy the mountain and water views, painting rocks and enjoying Lake Arrowhead living!
