Question: I am the agent for a buyer. After 3 counter offers, we are stuck $5,000 apart. The Sellers agent then tells me that she received an offer for the exact amount they are trying to get from my buyer. Do I have the right to ask the other agent for proof that she received another offer? I have never done this, don't know if it is ethical, and don't want to jeopardize my buyers' position. But my years of experience tells me she has not received another offer.
