Jumbo Loans Amount to 25% of Mortgages Used to Purchase
Homes in San Diego County for July 2012

When it comes to buying real estate in expensive markets like San Diego
it is almost certain that jumbo loans will be used when FHA and Freddie Mac
limits are reached or have been passed. FHA home loans currently have
the higher limits of $697,500 for buying a home or condo in San Diego.

The 2012 Housing Statistics for San Diego County showed that 25% of
purchases made came from jumbo loan financing. Although jumbo home
loans were once used to buy extravagent homes many buyers are using
them to buy more moderate priced homes in the market.

The 25% jumo loan funding statistic from Data Quick Services is up
