Question: I am working with a realtor, but i typically go to open houses. When entering, all the agents holding the open houses request my signature. My realtor indicated that in the past, she was sued to provide a part of her commission to the agent that held an open house when her buyer signed the form. The agent holding the open house did nothing, but filed a claim. Now, my agent tells her buyers not to sign unless the open house is held by the listing agent. Comments? what is preferred and does an agent holding an open house have a valid claim in such a situation?
