Yucaipa, California Home Prices - December 2018Yucaipa home prices are fairly consistent with Riverside County, and somewhat consistent with San Bernardino County's average and median home prices, as shown in the graphs below. These graphs detail prices over the past 5 years, and only include homes, with no land or other real estate included.Yucaipa Homes For SaleOne of the more telling metrics on these MLS derived graphs is the difference between the current range for Yucaipa'a Average Sales Price around the $425,000 mark, compared to Yucaipa's current Median Sales Price, hovering around $375,000! This highlights more than anything the importance of understanding median prices compared to average prices. But it also shows the difference of Yucaipa's housing market to it's parent San Ber...

Yucaipa Housing Market - Median Sales Prices - AUGUST 2018Yucaipa, California mainly consists of non-conforming built single family residences, and some planned developments like Chapman Heights and Whisper Ranch. There are some mobile and manufactured homes available as well, while some exist in communities, and others on their own piece of land.Yucaipa's median home prices, reported at $395,00 as of August 2018, are considerably lower than the rest of the MLS, reported at $560,000, and higher than its San Bernardino County as a whole, reported at $335,000. Having a plan when you want to buy a home is super important. You really need to have put all your finances in order several months prior to buying. If you are looking to buy a Yucaipa home then start to plan. The graphic below shows you three of the key steps. First step is to start saving regularly. Second step is to build your credit history and keep it clean. The third step is to practice living on the budget you will be on after you purchase your home. That way you will know if you can afford it. Budgeting will also help you save for your downpayment. There are obviously more steps to take but this is a good start. For more info and help buying your home call me on 951-634-4118 or visit GrahamHolmes.com #buyingayucaipahome #yucaipahomesforsale

Happy Earth Day 2016- Go Plant a TreeToday is National Earth Day for 2016 and what better way to celebrate then by planting a tree. Here is a new tree I planted this week and I put a dripless water irrigation system in the ground to save water. Other ways to celebrate this week: Many planting ceremonies across the nation in parks or forests. Recycle bottles, cans, glass, cardboard. Bicycle or walk to work instead of driving. Turn the lights off in rooms when you leave. Take  your kids to workshops, fairs or festivals this weekend to learn how to be more green. Track your energy usage at home and try to cut back. Use rockscape landscaping in the yard and cut back on water. Eat less meat and more vegetables and fruits. Try growing a vegetables garden and some fruit trees. Start composting...

Lots of Bull in YucaipaWhile going for a listing appointment I came across these cows and bulls up in the north end of Yucaipa where there are a lot of ranches and fields of cows, pigs, goats and horses. I came across these long horn steers and noticed the baby calf so I just had to stop after the appointment and take a few pictures. Unfortunately I did not  have my good camera so here they are taken on my iPhone.    I've lived in Southern California all my life. I love this area in the Inland Empire and I enjoy sharing.
