Colorado is a small city with a historic town center about
midway between Denver and Boulder.
The Sierra
Vista neighborhood consists of about 266 homes,
of mixed styles. There is no HOA. Sierra vista is west of Kipling,
north of 74th.

Today I held open a lovely home (10040 W. 74th Pl.) in my lovely
town of Arvada, Colorado, and had a very special visitor.
This is my grandson, Jayden. He
brought his mom and dad, and checked out the house thoroughly.
Jayden thought the kitchen was laid out especially cool, because
guests can sit at the counter and visit with the cook, and the cook
can look straight out the windows to enjoy the mountain view.
Of course, people will also want to wander out to the
wrap-around deck to relax and enjoy the vista.

I don't know whether to start by talking about the inside of
this home, or the outside, both have so much to offer.
This home sits on one of the largest lots in Arvada's Sierra
Vista neighborhood. It's .39 acres (17,066 square feet),
and a seasonal creek runs along the back (for those who don't live
in an arid place, that means it's a creek after a heavy rain, but
it's usually a ditch!) The backyard is pretty flat, but the ground
slopes down to the south past the creek, so there are lovely views
from the huge, wrap-around deck. It's nicely landscaped, and
will soon be in bloom with flowers and peach and plum trees.
There is an attached 2-car garage, but also a large driveway to
park your RV's, friends (if you've got 'em), and family (if you
want 'em).
Inside you'll find a custom kitchen, with lovely views to the
