Question: I own a large penthouse in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico that I have completely paid off. Now Im looking to exchange it for several smaller apartments in Colorado; is that a possibility in today's market place? Who should I contact to help me with this transaction? A real estate agent? Is this even viable? Thanks!

Question: I own a home jointly with someone in Colorado and I reside in Alabama. I am not interested in reaping any benefit from the sale of the house and I the mortgage company will not accept a quitclaim. What are my options to get my name off the deed? The coowner is under the impression that my portion of the house can't be purchased by another interested party without refinancing the whole purchase. Any ideas?
