Thornton Colorado boasts many great communities.  King Ranch, located just north of 120th off Quebec Street, was started by DR Horton in 2006.  King Ranch features easy access to Thornton's extensive trail system leading to over 1,000 acres of public parks. Over the past 3 years, King Ranch home sales have remained fairly strong.  Most of the sales continue to involve buyers purchasing from the builder. In the past 12 months: There were 17 homes sold in King Ranch.  15 of these were sold by the builder.  1 was a Bank Owned property. The average Days on Market was 110 Days. The average sold price was $302,307, or $125 per square foot. There are currently 9 homes listed for sale, 8 of which are sold by the builder. There were 4 closed sales in January. These numbers have increased compared to 2010 data.  In 2010, there were 15 King Ranch homes sold.  While the average sold price was a little higher at $339,181, the average price per square foot was only $116.  This means that buyers are opting for slightly less square footage on average.
