Lobster Shack Branford Connecticut Has The Best Tasting Lobster Rolls Ever!

If you're a lover of lobster rolls as I am you've got to stop by the Lobster Shack located at 7 Indian Neck Avenue in Branford Connecticut.

Having heard rave reviews about the Loster Shack I had an opportunity to visit there for the first time last year when I was showing relocation clients from California propeties in Branford.  Being lobster lovers, they asked if there was anywhere nearby where we could get lobster rolls and the Lobster Shack was the first place to come to mind.

I had told my husband that these were the best lobster rolls I had ever had and have recommended the Lobster Shack to many friends and clients.

Our granddaughter was with us over the weekend and ended up staying until yesterday.  We decided since it was such a beautiful warm and sunny day we would to go out for lunch so of course I mentioned the Lobster Shack as the place to go to. 

Tucked away in the rear of Birbarie Marina is the red Lobster Shack trailer.  As you drive up the gravel driveway you'll find picnic tables with umbrellas and a spectacular view overlooking the Branford River. 

Owners Arlene and Nick Crismale opened the Lobster Shack four years ago and have carved out a little piece of paradise with a keep it simple menu, outstanding staff & service and great location.

Their lobster rolls are made with 1/4 pound of succulent fresh picked chunks of lobster meat with the perfect blend of butter and lemon on a toasted sub roll.  My husband loves lobster rolls but was never satisfied with the ones we bought from other places along the shoreline but has now too become a raving fan of the Lobster Shack after eating their mouth watering lobster roll yesterday.

In addition to lobster rolls the menu at the Lobster Shack also consists of shrimp rolls, clams on the half shell, soup of the day, sausage, peppers and onions sub, Hummel's hot dogs, assorted sodas, bottled water, chips and for dessert flavored gelato.  You're also welcome to bring your own wine and beer.

The Lobster Shack is open seasonally beginning a couple of weeks before Memorial Day until Columbus Day.  They are open daily from 11:30am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Thursday and Sunday and 11:30am to 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday.

Indian Neck-Branford CT Waterfront Community

Indian Neck-Branford CT is a wonderful waterfront community located in the south central area of Branford.  Once a big tourist destination back in the early to mid 20th century the beach was a place full of activity and the area consisted of many second homes. 

Favorite businesses back then included a Candy Store, Bud's Bait Box, Dairy Joy Ice Cream, Harry's General Store,  Madelyn's Restaurant, Surfside Restaurant and The Waverly Inn.  In the early 1970's the area became more year round and the commercial business that once flourished in the Indian Neck community slowly shut down and the landmark Waverly Inn burned to the ground.

Today you'll find a variety of home styles in Indian Neck that include cottages, ranches, capes, colonials, victorian and contemporary homes to multi-million dollar direct waterfront estates.

No matter what your cuisine from pizza to seafood, you're sure to find a wonderful selection of restaurants in Indian Neck to create a wonderful dining experience.

Foote Memorial Park on Melrose Avenue has softball fields, a baseball field, tennis courts, pavilion, playgrounds and Little League games.  It's the perfect place for picnics, outings or special events.  For boating enthusiasts the 100 slip marina at the Indian Neck Yacht Club provides a great sailing, fishing and boating experience.

The historic Owenego Inn on Linden Avenue is a family-run beach and tennis club situated on Long Island Sound with five hundred feet of direct waterfront views and is a popular place for not just beach goers but for its catering facility specializing in elegant summer weddings.

The Pawson Park and Pawson Park Marsh Wildlife area is another popular area of Indian Neck with its exquisite homes and breathtaking water views.
