Question: Can a short sale report of "settled for less than full balance" ever be negotiated or legitimately erased after it has been posted?
I know that credit repair scams are rampant on the internet but a realtor was telling me that if I look hard enough, there are ways to remove this for a price.
The fact that even the lesser effect of the short sale over Foreclosure or DIL has the lender report to the credit reporting agencies a Score Factor Code #22, can immensely damage any chances of buying another home or refinancing a current one for about 2 years.
Is anyone familiar with legal credit repair?
