Dr. Phillips, a well established
community in Southwest Orange County, Florida, is known for the
myriad of restaurants that line Sand Lake Road. Orlando locals know
this short stretch of asphalt as Restaurant Row.
Restaurant Row is home to well
known restaurant chains such as Bravos, Panera Bread, Ruth Chris
Steakhouse, The Melting Pot and many more. Since this area is so
popular, Dr. Phillips real estate is
among the most expensive in Central Florida.
Among all the big name
restaurants on Sand Lake Road, a small, obscure, and secluded
location has taken the Dr. Phillips community by storm. This new
sensation is none other than a small bar/restaurant in the popular
Orlando neighborhood called The Pharmacy.
I know what you are
thinking...WHO WOULD NAME A RESTAURANT THE PHARMACY?!. Well the
name suits it well, because no matter what ails you, a dinner at
this local secret will surely make you feel better. Right from the
beginning, you know you that you are in for a treat.
The restaurant has no fancy sign
marking the entrance. They don't pay for any advertising to let
people know where they are. This Dr. Phillips restaurant relies
solely on its customers to spread the word about their location.
When you walk up to the entrance, confusion might take over as you
stare at the steel elevator door. Press a button, however, and the
metal doors recede into the wall to reveal the interior.
The Dr. Phillips restaurant is themed
after a 1920's speakeasy. The best thing about the place though, is
the fact that everything is made in house. When I say everything, I
mean EVERYTHING. The bottle their own sodas, they make their own
ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, they grow every herb in-house
until you order your dinner, and everything they order comes from
local farmers only. The care and dedication that these amazing
Doctor Phillips restaurateurs put into their creations is evident
in the final product.
The food is delicious...period. I
have tried every dish and have yet to be disappointed. The service
is excellent and every member of the team is knowledgeable. They
understand the concept and they are excited to be working at such a
unique location. I recommend that anyone who is lucky enough to
find this place has to try the bone marrow appetizer. The Wagyu
Beef cheese burger is out of this world, and their pizza's taste
like no other in Central Florida.
So next time you find yourself
wondering what to do for dinner in Orlando, FL...make trip over to
the Dellagio in Dr. Phillips and enjoy one of the better places to
eat in the Orlando neighborhood...if you can find it!

ORLANDO HOME BUYING IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT IT SEEMS...not
everything that the seller claims is accurate.
I don't like it when home sellers misrepresent the
Orlando home to Orlando home buyers. Once a seller fibs,
what else are they hiding?
Here are some of the things that home sellers fib about
to Orlando Home Buyers:
1. The sellers
disclosure. Home seller clearly knows
about a re-occuring problem but does not admit that any problem
exists...(the same problem that even the neighbors know that the
seller really does have and are willing to talk about)
2, The improvements to the
property...Home sellers claim that they upgraded the
house, (but really did not)...which they insist justifies
the higher asking price. They will claim that they spent
big bucks re-modeling the kitchen...when the previous listing
on the house shows that they bought the property with the kitchen
already remodeled.
3. The home repairs that they did...Home
sellers say they pulled permits...hmmm, not so...I checked.
They claimed someone licensed recently fixed all the
shoddy looking electrical, but now can't get a receipt
from the company...sure.
Why bother with a fib? Why not just
tell the Orlando Home Buyer just like it is? Orlando
Home Buyers appreciate honesty.

town which makes it a little harder for
buyers to search available homes for sale. The best
way to make sure a buyer is seeing all homes for sale on
the Mid Florida MLS in Dr Phillips is to contact a local
REALTOR but buyers that want to do some searches on their
own, searching by zip codes, 32836 and 32819 is the way to
go.
Searching 32836 Homes for sale will show results in the heart of
Dr Phillips, south of Sand Lake Road along Apopka Vineland Road.
For a full search of Dr Phillips 32819 homes for sale would pull properties north of
Sand Lake Road and south of Conroy Windermere. When searching
both these zip codes you will end up with results in Tangelo Park
in 32819 and homes along 535 going north that are not considered Dr
Phillips real estate.
