Given the spectacular location of the complex on Golden Gate Point, I thought it only fair to add a blog about Pier 550. This little complex offers the same great location at a fraction of the price. Although the units are very small, only about 600 square feet, they give buyers the opportunity to live in this million dollar community for far less. Residents have cozy units with open air balconies, and enjoy both a community pool and boat docks. Although affordably priced, the complex is privy to the same great views of both Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Residents can walk or bike ride over the John Ringling Bridge to St. Armands Circle and Lido Key; an even shorter walk puts them in the heart of downtown Sarasota with all its amazing dining choices, theater, opera, art galleries and more. Sarasota Bayfront & Selby Gardens are a tranquil waterfront stroll away. If the #1 rule of buying Sarasota real estate is to get the most affordable place in the ritziest area, this may be a great opportunity for sophisticated waterfront living. William
