When looking at Sarasota real estate the trade off between being
close into town, and getting a larger lot, can sometimes seem
daunting. Not so at Sarasota Golf Club Colony. The
community is located just east of the highway and right
between Bee Ridge and Fruitville, providing easy access to both
beaches and downtown. Lot sizes are generally 1/3 to 1/2 acres, and
many are located on the golf course, giving the overall feeling of
green space and openness.
The homes at Sarasota Golf Club were built primarily in
the 1970s and 1980s, and are solid family homes, with 3-4 bedrooms
and large yards. Although located along the Sarasota Golf Club
course, there are no HOA fees at all and membership is not
required. Sarasota Golf Club Colony is also located in and amongst
Sarasota horse country, only adding to the neighborhood feel and
open green fields. The neighborhood is zoned for Tatum Ridge
Elementary School, one of Sarasota's newest K-5 schools, but one
which has a great reputation and is scoring exceptionally
well.
The Sarasota Golf Club itself is an often
missed public course, but is a championship course that winds
through mature trees and provides a nice balance of long and short
holes. The club has a full practice range, a golf shop, and an
informal grill room.
Sarasota Golf Club Colony represents the diversity
available in Sarasota real estate - golf, open space, great
school, close to beaches and town!
