The Newport Fishing Pier, built in 1936, is the perfect place for fishing in Sunny Isles Beach. This ½ mile-long pier, designated a historic site in 1982, has long been a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts and sightseers.

Location
The Newport Fishing Pier is located at Sunny Isles Boulevard and Collins Avenue, and is accessible through Pier Park where parking for a fee is available.

In accordance with Miami-Dade County Parks Rules and Regulations, Chapter 26 of the County code, fishing is allowed in designated areas only. The only designated area for fishing in Sunny Isles Beach is the Newport Fishing Pier.

Fishing is not allowed on the beaches, or in the Intracoastal Waterway from land.

Commercial fishing vessels
Commercial fishing vessels are available at Haulover Park (a Miami-Dade County park) just south of Sunny Isles Beach.
