Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour
This is a 3 days event start from Friday January 24, 2014 (2:00pm – 4:00pm) Saturday and Sunday January 25 and 26, 2014 (9:00am – 4:00pm) at Venice Municipal Airport on 400 Airport Ave. Venice FL 34285. Admission fees for adults are $12 and $6 for children age 12 and under, FREE for Veterans. Come and see the heavy bomber aircraft B-17 Flying Fortress & B-24 Liberator used during WWII. A Taste of Culture Progressive Dinner
Ticket of $40 will cover 4 course dinner, wines and music for this fun culture event held at 6:00pm. Miami Avenue Craft Fair - Free
All are welcome to this open air 2 days event at 200 block of W. Miami Avenue, downtown Venice Florida. Saturday January 25 and Sunday January 26, 2014 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Items displays for sale are handmade by crafters from throughout the country also many of them are from Florida. Items cost from less than $5 to over hundred dollars.
Organic Pest Control for Your Garden – Free
Learn the organic way of control your garden common pests from the Sarasota County Extension/University of Florida. Located at the Venice Farmers Market 200 block of W Tampa Ave. Venice FL 34285. It is divided into 3 different topics that begin at 9:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am on Saturday January 25, 2014
January 26, 2014 (Sunday) – Things to do
Venice Veterans Gara
There are six sponsors and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice Inc is the host for this silent auction and swing dance event held at Venice Community Center 326 Nokomis Ave S. Venice FL 34285, from 2:00pm – 6:00pm on January 26, 2014. Admission fee is $12 per person. Live music by the Ten O’clock Band, salute to all military veterans with a special tribute to the Greatest Generation. There will be military exhibits including military vehicles and vintage cars and etc. Proceeds will benefit the Catholic Charities that help veterans and the Venice Museum and Archives.
