It's no surprise that the Oakhurst GA real estate market is doing VERY well this year -- increased demand, low inventory and low, low interest rates.  We do think you will be suprised at some of the recent stats from our Oakhurst home sales report... 

HOME SALES

The number of homes sold in 1st quarter is the highest in more than 6 years.  It's 40% higher than the same time last year!

*** This number may actually be higher, as there were quite a few homes that sold before they were officially listed in the MLS.

AVERAGE SALES PRICE

In 1Q 2013 the average sales price for a single family home was $440,820 -- again, this is the highest in more than 6 years (possibly more).  We can contribute a portion of the increase to the new construction home sales in the neighborhood.

LISTING PRICE TO FINAL SALES PRICE

This is incredible -- on average, homes sold at 99% of the asking price and almost half of the homeowners in Oakhurst received the full price or more for their home.

TIME ON MARKET

40% of the homes in Oakhurst sold in NINE days or less.

TIP FOR BUYERS

For those of you looking for a home in the Oakhurst area, be prepared to make a full price offer for Oakhurst homes as most sell for 99% to 104% of the listing price.  Also, we highly recommend that you work with a local agent who can keep you updated on "Coming Soon" listings before they hit the market -- we don't want you to miss out on your dream home!
