Hunter Army Airfield is located west of the Savannah downtown area. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and two malls near the entrances of the airfield. Hunter Army Airfield is actually part of Fort Stewart. They are combined to provide a force capable of deploying anywhere in the world. Hunter is home to the 3rd infantry division, including the "marne division's" aviation  brigade. It has a runway that is 11,375 feet long. This runway supports the rapid deployment needs of any aircraft.
