O‘ahu Housing Market Warms Up in FebruarySingle-family home and condo sales continue to rise despite modest increase in median pricesHONOLULU – According to resale figures released this week by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®,  single-family home sales totaled 179, while condo sales reached 334—a modest gain of 3.5% and 2.8%, respectively. When combined with January sales, 2024 shows continued improvement over 2023, with total year-to-date sales up by 7.2% compared to the same period last year.Both markets experienced year-over-year growth in median sales price. Single-family homes observed an 8.9% jump, reaching $1,075,000, while condo sales increased 6.8% to $512,500. It was intriguing to find that there was only 1 home for sale in Portlock and it was listed for $8,500,000, which sounds a little bit shocking. However, it shouldn't be too surprising as that market has been heating up in Portlock. There's been 2 sales over the past 6 months that are north of $8 million. There was a also a couple trades on the lower end in the $2-3 million range, but those ($8 million ones) were beautiful homes on the water.... Read More

What's exciting about that for the owners is the lease has been extended for another 65 years. They did not have to turn over the keys and walk away, which could have been the worse case scenario, when owning leasehold property in Hawaii. It's a tight neighborhood. This was a quality product done by Gentry. This is the very end of Kuanoo Street in Ewa Beach, for those that aren't familiar. New Year Sees O‘ahu Home Sales Rise Properties stay on market a bit longer, but continue to move into escrow in under 30 days HONOLULU – According to resale figures released this week by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®, single-family home sales rose 22.7%, while condo sales ticked up 6.2% compared to this time last year. Month-to-month, the new year started much like 2023 ended, with minimal upticks in sales of single-family homes at 1.1% and condos at 7.4%.Median sales prices in January 2024 closely resembled year-end figures in late 2023. Single- family home prices reached $1,021,016, up 2.5% month-to-month but down 2.8% from the year-end median of $1,050,000.
