    Dryer fires are most devastating in multiple resident buildings including hotels, attached condos, apartment buildings and multi-family dwellings     Chicago, IL – Dryer vent cleaning would have prevented a dryer fire that recently caused estimated $5,000 damage to a Holiday Inn hotel in Maryland.  The cause was excessive lint build-up in the dryer vent system.  10 firefighters worked for an hour to get the blaze under control.    “Thankfully, there were no injuries,” said Manny Diesman, owner of Dryer Vent Wizard of the Greater Chicago area.  “More lives are at risk in multiple resident buildings like hotels and apartment buildings.  We clean dryer vents in residential and commercial buildings.  I especially urge property managers, hotel owners, and public laundries to clean dryer ...

With the new year upon us, many have been making goals for 2010... The thermometer read 17 degrees as I pulled into Carrolwood last Friday...  In spite of the cold temperatures, I was excited.  It was the first of two stops I would be making that day, delivering my newsletter...                                                                                 -Carrolwood Subdivision on a bright and sunny day. I was dressed in several layers.  It would be important for warmth as well as padding... My primary concern wasn't the temperature, but the icy conditions resulting from the wet snow we had two nights prior... Had the associations shoveled?
