Question: My husband and I own our home, a summer home and a rental home. All total approx $1,000,000. I have found a restored 1860 home for approx 700,000. My husband wants me to sell our home before we can buy the other. the way the market is, isn't it better to keep our home, possibly to rent, until the market is better? Our payments for the new home would be approx $5,000 for 15 yrs. @ 5%! Together we bring home $15,000/mo. plus $1,500/ mo from the rental. We have no bills or loans outside of utilities. We can easily make the payment, plus a little extra each month. Please help me persuade him! :)
