If you have been waiting to buy a home in Henderson, KY, autumn is a great time for serious home shopping! Here are a few things to look for when scouting for homes that may have motivated sellers: Days on Market. Buyers have been very picky this year, and good homes can be overlooked for cosmetic reasons that have nothing to do with value. Also, the longer a home remains on the market, the less interest buyers tend to have in it, assuming that there must be something wrong with the place. While not every home that has lingered on the market is a bargain, the "aged inventory" is worth going through with a fine-tooth comb. Price History. Homes that have been reduced in price more than once ...

Keeping your home is a difficult task, especially when you feel as though you don’t have enough storage space for your belongings. There are quick and easy ways to keep your Henderson home organized. Every room provides great potential to become the organized area you have always dreamt it could be.   Use a chest instead of a coffee table. Almost every room in your home needs some sort of table, to display photos, flowers, or any other decorations. However, instead of using a typical table, try to use a chest. Using a surface that has storage underneath will not only provide an area to display your belongings, but also ample storage space to hide the belongings you don’t necessarily want seen.  This will also give you easy access to anything you may need in the future. Renovate unused c...

The annual Henderson Christmas parade has come and gone.  This was my first and hopefully, not my last.  As a team, the RE/MAX associates at RE/MAX Superior, REALTORS came up with a theme in late November:  Homes for the Holidays.  Now, I've never been a part of a float creation team before.  I wasn't one of the elite at my high school that was asked to participate in building the class float or being in the parade.  Needless to say, I was REALLY excited about this project!  We are extremely lucky that Kelly Estes, the better half of one of our REALTORS, is extremely creative and talented.  She figured out how to make the little houses and trees out of cardboard boxes and directed the artistically challenged (me) in the proper painting technique for the roofs of the homes.  (No, Kathy D...

This is my first blog so if I seem a little timid-uh I am.  I am a Henderson Ky real estate agent.  I have worked in real estate for 12 years but only moved to Henderson 5 years ago and we love Henderson.Henderson, Ky is home to many famous people, WC Handy, John James Audubon, the minister that married Johnny Cash and June Carter plus so much more.   If you ever plan a trip to northwest Kentucky check out Henderson, Ky!  It is a quaint town of about 25,000 people who still prefer the laid back type of life.  When you want to sit in the park by the river, watching the boats go back and forth (yes even the Belle of Louisville, Mississippi Queen and Delta Queen make frequent stops here!) and stroll downtown to the antique shops and small business that are the heart of Henderson.  Stay at ...
