In the Spirit of Things in Louisville!
Younger Gaines Real Estate

Louisville is an amazing place with an eclectic style and great sense of community. When things need done, the city comes together in unique ways, after all this is Possibility City! Well, it is in that spirit that the 4th Annual Tyler Park Wine Tasting will be held on January 31st! No bake sales here! Just great Spirits, wine and cheese!

Louisville Tyler ParkThis unique fundraiser is to benefit the Tyler Park Neighborhood Association. They help maintain the park, which includes its well known 100 year old bridge. One of the improvements planned is to grade the walking path under the bridge to eliminate the steps. This will help the park be more accessible to everyone. At this year's fund raiser you will also be able to see an architectural rendering of the new Tyler Park Master Plan of park improvements. The event lasts from 5pm-7pm on Sunday January 31st at Mid City mall.

The wines will be provided by The Wine Market from right here in Louisville. If you can't make it to the Tyler Park Wine Tasting, you can sample their wines between 4pm -8pm every day at their Bardstown Road location. Hors d'oeuvres at the Tyler event will be provided by ValuMarket. There will also be live music by Tyler Park Jazz Guitarist Charlie Muriell and The Windsor Trio.

One of Louisville's strong points is its Kentucky "can do" attitude. When something needs to be taking care of, we find a way to do. Not many places you find still have the spirit of community that you will find here in our town! When you are ready to be a part of Louisville, call Mollie Younger or Jessica Gaines! We know Louisville!

Louisville's Tyler Park Neighborhood in the Highlands
Jeff Johnson proud to be YOUR REALTOR (On the Move)

Nestled just 3 miles southeast of downtown Metro Louisville lies the beautiful Highlands Neighborhood of Tyler Park.

"The park" as it was called, was initially developed starting in 1873.  The area was so remote and removed from the remainder of the city that it was not finalized until 1910 with the last subdivision being built.  At that time the restrictions for the area were so that all houses developed were required to sell for over $8,000!

Tyler Park is located in the neighborhood and was designed by John Olmsted, the son of the famed Frederick Law Olmsted of NYC's Central Park and Cherokee Park which is located just a few short miles away.  Castlewood Park is also located within the neighborhood offering lots of opportunities for recreation and fun on a Sunday afternoon.  City Center Mall is located within the neighborhood boundaries and offers grocery shopping, a library, comedy club, an independent theater and a huge asian buffet!

Some other streets in the Tyler Park neighborhood are Barrett, Beachwood, Tyler Park Avenue and Castlewood.  The area is considered one of the safest area's in Metro Louisville

What the Tyler Park Neighborhood lacks in size, it makes up for in spirit with a vibrant and active Neighborhood Association.  With access to parks, dining, entertainment and the Bardstown Road Corridor Tyler Park does just about have it all!
