The Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) has reported that sales for October 2009 are up 17.7% from October 2008. 3,828 single family homes sold this October vs.3,252 in October 2008. It was also the largest single month gain since November 2004, and the largest increase of sales from September to October
