Bethesda Literary Festival April 19-21, 2013

One of the great advantages of living in Bethesda, or nearby is having access to many cultural events.  The credit has to go to the Bethesda Urban Partnership, Inc. (Bethesda UP) a group of local business owners and residential communities that came together and created a partnership supervised by a board of 10 individuals.  They have done and are doing a terrific job making Bethesda Downtown the inviting place it has become.

This weekend, Bethesda is celebrating the 14th annual Literary Festival with a variety of local and national journalists, poets and authors. As in past years, there aare a number of writing contests and the winners will be announced at a special event.

For a list of 2013 winners check out Laura L Thornton blog in the BethesdaPatch.com:

Bring the family, of both the two and four-legged variety, to the Strut Your Mutt event in downtown Bethesda on Saturday, May 19, 2012.  Everyone is pretty much guaranteed a good time.  And, you never know.  You may bring home a new furry member of the family at the end of the day.
