If you are moving to the Detroit area you may want to know the better cities that like west of downtown Detroit.  You may work downtown and want an easy drive down I-96.  Your spouse may work in the opposite direction in Ann Arbor and you may want to split the driving time for both of you.  So living west of downtown Detroit may be your best choice rather than living in the northern counties. When I say the four best cities near Detroit in the western suburbs I mean cities that have low crime, good schools, and that are desirable cities to live in.  Usually when you buy a home in a community that has low crime and good schools the housing prices are stable or rising.  That means when it is time for you to sell your home in the future you should be able to get more for the home. Here are ...

Plymouth SchoolsThe children of residents in the City of Plymouth and Plymouth Township go to Plymouth - Canton schools.  I would say that Plymouth - Canton schools are better than state average schools.   Niche.com gives the schools an "A-" rating. Good teachers, and administrators are striving to make the schools better each year.  The high schools also rank very high on the US News school report. You can check out the rankings on many different websites. In both math and reading proficiency the schools rank in the top 5% of Michigan schools.  The school system does have a STEM program.  The schools prepare the kids for college well.  It is the type of school system where the teachers are in control of the classroom unlike many inner city schools.  You have a very high graduation rate,...

Today I wanted to explain on how closing dates work in Michigan.  Some sellers are confused on what can happen if a buyer misses the closing date and some buyers are confused that on what happens if they are ready to close earlier.  So I thought it would be a good day to talk about close, dates on your purchase contract in South Eastern Michigan.   On every purchase agreement you sign whether you are a Michigan home buyer or seller you will have a closing date on the document.  The only time you do not have a date is if the buyer has a contingent sale on their home and it has not been specified because you are waiting on the close date of the buyers house.  So every purchase contract usually has a closing date on it.  The closing date is no longer a drop dead date.  It used to be, howev...

Whether you are looking for foreclosed homes in Plymouth Michigan or any home we can help you find the home of your dreams.  If you have never been to Plymouth Michigan before you will really like the community.  It has a historic downtown area full of great restaurants, bars, and mom and popl stores just like years gone by.  Plymouth  has many festivals throughout the year to bring in outside visitors.  Some of them the the Ice Festival and the Summer Arts && Crafts Festival bring in over a 100,000 people. Plymouth has two sections to the downtown area.   There is old town which I would call more of the historic district where the trains came through years ago and then the main part of downtown where Kellogg Park and most of the activities go on.  They have a farmers market from spring...
