For registration information, call 919.571.4170.April 20, 2008 - 2 p.m. Name That Mammal:Learn about mammals that live at Umstead State Park. A park ranger will lead a brief discussion, that includes a PowerPoint presentation. Call 919.571.4170 for more information.April 26, 2008, 2 p.m. Erosion Patrol:A park ranger will meet attendees at the large Crabtree parking lot, located off Highway 70. From there, they'll hike and talk about soil, why it's important; how soil has impacted the history of the park, and what's being done to conserve it. Limit 15 attendees.
