Question: Countrywide holds the mortgage to a foreclosed VA property I want to buy and live in. It was owned by the VA and then it went to a local realty /broker. When that happened, my agent told me the price went up16,000 dollars.Now I am told I will not be able to buy the property for any less than the amount it was before (when the VA had it).I was told it will probably come down 10% on Nov. 1st. This still will not come near the other listing price. Can I expect the price to come down each month? Or could the broker or Countrywide hold onto and sit on a certain price forever?What chances do I have of buying this house for as much or less than the original assessed price before it went to Countrywide?
