The Olympic torch was in St. John's, Newfoundland today. It started at Cape Spear, North America's most easterly point and it marched proudly through the communities of Petty Harbour, the Goulds, Conception Bay South, Manuels, Chamberlains, Paradise, Mount Pearl, and finally it ended up being paraded to the Confederation building and

For sale by owner (FSBO) I will not call you.
Sometimes we Realtors see signs like this. For Sale By Owner - No Agents Please.
Personally, I never call For Sale By Owners with that sign on the lawn. And I know lots of other Realtors like me. We never push

The thought of relocating from one address to another is a two move or two house process that can be a little daunting for many. Let’s call a move a spade and then, let’s call a spade a spade. There are no easy moves when you must move twice. For some,

As I write, another day comes to a close and a new one will dawn in a few hours. Each new day is a gift to us all. The truth is we really don't deserve to have it....we didn't pay anyone for it and we can't change what's done when its

Question: Hi,
My husband and I put an offer in on a house in St. John's which was accepted conditional on our obtaining financing.
However it was very important to us that we were on a very well serviced bus route.
After the offer was accepted we found out that there was only 2 buses a day and we told our agent we really had no choice but to pull out.
We are now being told by their agent that they want to sue as they handed in their notices at work as soon as they accepted our offer and also because they probably won't get another offer as good as ours. We find it difficult to believe that they gave their jobs up based on our offer as we still had 7 days to go to confirm our financing with them. It was only a matter of 24 hours before we put an offer in and then changed our minds. Can they sue even though conditions on the offer had not been met?

On July 8, 1892, St. John's, Newfoundland was devastated by a fire that destroyed nearly all the homes and businesses in the east end of the city. The high winds that day, the incomplete repairs to the water supply system and the simple incident of dropping a pipe in Timothy O'Brien's

The seller's market has certainly ended. Inventory has increased approximately 30 per cent and listings are taking longer to sell or expire (never sell during their contract period).
The St. John's real estate market boomed during 2008, driven mostly by optimism created by the Newfoundland Government budget surplus, the Hebron oilfield
