One of my listings, a piece of the real estate landscape in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Second St close to Cerrillos Road has been sold. Zoning is always the key for land use in the downtown area of Santa Fe. The C-2 zoning of this vacant lot and its inclusion in the City's Development Plan made the difference. The asking price was $125,000. New Mexico is a non-disclosure state so the sale price can not be disclosed.
This now vacant lot will become a home for a new small business in the future. The sale began a new exciting chapter for the buyer and ended a challenge for the seller. The sale demonstrates a trend of optimism for Santa Fe's real estate market and our local small business economy. And of course, there is one less commercial lot listing in our local multiple listing service.
