Merrick Gables (Merrick, NY)
About Merrick Gables (Merrick, NY)
Construction began on these stucco Spanish-style homes in 1927. This community, part of Merrick's expansion, later became known as the Merrick Gables. It boasts a rich history as a summer home for movie stars who needed a suburban place to reside while filming at a production studio in New York City. Errol Flynn and Ed Begley, Sr. are two actors rumored to have lived here at the Merrick Gables.
