Florence Park boundaries are 15th Street to the north; 21st Street to the south; Harvard to the east and the BA Expressway to the west. A popular midtown Tulsa subdivision, Florence Park homes are steadily increasing in value. As of April 9, 2014, only 7 properties are for sale in Florence Park; 4 properties are under contract; and 9 properties have sold since the first of the year. Active properties range in price from $145,000 to $240,000. We don’t know what the pending properties sold for until they are closed, but four properties pending shows consistent movement of inventory. My husband Demetrius and I do not exchange Christmas gifts. Instead, we have a Holiday Dinner buffet and invite our friends who otherwise have no place to go, or don’t want to cook for just two people. Brownies Hamburgers Midtown Tulsa If you are looking for a good burger joint in midtown Tulsa, you need look no further than Brownies Hamburgers at 21st and Harvard. Known for their “house made root beer” and homemade pies, it’s a nostalgic burger stand that will take you back to the 50s – 1956, to be exact. Their menu is what you’d expect from a neighborhood burger place: good burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches and a BLT. Subdivisions within this mapped area include Travis Park, Sunset Terrace, Sunset Park, Riverside Drive addition, Adams, and Indian Woods. There are 29 active properties for sale ranging in price from $199,000 to $1,450,000, with the average list price of $590,213. Tulsa’s 2nd Whole Foods Market is opening November 19! We are very excited that Tulsa’s 2nd Whole Foods Market location is opening tomorrow at 91st & Yale! The “bread breaking” grand opening will be at 7:30am and there will be music and free coffee. Gift cards and free reusable bags will be given away to the first one hundred guests in line. I don’t remember when the Whole Foods Market opened at 41st and Peoria, but it is not large enough to sustain Tulsa shoppers, despite the fact that they’ve enlarged the store at least twice that I can remember. The 41st and Peoria location will remain open, and we midtowners lovingly joke that the south Tulsans will have their own store now, and hopefully ours will be less crowded.
