Over the last couple of weeks over 50 Humboldt squid have washed up on the local beaches. This is quite rare as these are usually found in California. This kind of squidis also called Red Devils or Jumbo Squid and can grow up to 7 feet long. (Taken from Siuslaw News

The resturant is located in the Three Rivers Casino in Florence, OR. We were invited to a pre-grand opening party and got to stay in the new hotel before it's officially open to the public. They have hired an additional 250 employees which is huge for a town with a population of about 8,000.
