Hi everyone, I took some pictures before sunset and then did some weird type things with my Adobe Photoshop Elements just to see what would happen. So, I am asking for feedback. What do you think of the pictures and/or the edits? I tried the paint bucket feature and

Full Moon tonight, maybe that is why today was so strange??? By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
I had a night shot of the Springfield Bridge yesterday, so I thought I would try some effects to get the full moon tonight. Here goes: I used my BBQ as my tripod and it didn't do such a great job but not too bad. This is an effect

While I was at the Fiesta Latina Saturday night, I tried a night view of the bridge over the Willamette River. I think it came out better than I expected. Needless to say, taking this kind of a picture with flash doesn't work. So, what do you think, is the picture

Pretty sunset, at least I think so By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
I thought the sunset was really nice last evening so I took some pictures. They turned out rather different than I expected. My camera, although it can be set, has automatic focus, exposure, etc. Because of that, the pictures taken of the sun, came out a lot darker than I expected

National Grandparents Day, strolling with my girl By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
I got a call yesterday from my 6 year old granddaughter. She is the apple of her Grandfather's eye and knows how to make this gruff (sometimes) old man melt. I took her and her little brother to Disney World just after New Year's and am their favorite grandparent. Now, I

Bob Straub Parkway Opens By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
Springfield Mayor Sid Liken was supposed to open the new Bob Straub Parkway this morning at 9:15, but I beat him to it by driving on it at 8:45. Got some strange looks from the workers setting up the Grand Opening, but it was fun. There weren't any road closed signs on

Herrick Farms, Walterville Oregon, Fresh Produce By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
Herrick Farms, a great place for fresh produce I love this time of year in Oregon. There is nothing better than fresh sweet corn on the cob and fresh field ripened tomatoes. Add a bit of cantaloupe and peaches for desert and you are in heaven. There are several places in

Princess Grace and the Bible By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
I have two dogs, Peanut (minature poodle) and Princess Grace (Shi-tzu) and overall, they are good companions. This story is about Gracie. Now, when you think about Gracie, remember she is a Shi-tzu, with the emphasis on the first syllable. Gracie won't be one until November and has been an interesting addition

Where do you find your BLISS? By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
OK, I have been thinking about this for some time. The only thing stopping me was I wasn't sure how to start it. I also didn't know exactly how to end it. As a matter of fact, I wasn't exactly sure what to put in the middle either. But, other than

Bob Straub Parkway construction underway, Springfield & Thurston OR benefits By: Fred Chamberlin - Eugene/Springfield's #1 Experienced FHA Mortgage Consultant
The Jasper Extension, renamed the Bob Straub Parkway, should be done this fall when connection is made with Jasper Road. As an Oregon native and knowing who Bob Straub was (Governor 1975 - 1979), I am quite surprised that anything is named after him, except for a small rest area somewhere
