August 2013 Market Report,Port Royal Plantation, Hilton Head, SC Things are definitely looking up on the island and this beautiful jewel of a community is an excellent example of how to guage the return. Seller confidence has increased and to that end, there is a good inventory in Port Royal in some very attractive price points. Previously the community had been averaging only 18-24 listings and the price points were not very favorable. Port Royal Plantation is a beautiful oceanfront community that has no commercial developments within the gates.  Port Royal Oceanfront homes are a great value today. I have not been to Hilton Head for a while. But we are here for a much needed rest. Here are some observations. The place is wonderful and the people very nice. There has been an awful lot of building since the last time I was here. I cannot help but think a little less development would make the island even more attractive. However if you are looking for a nice spot to spend some time this is a great place.  This time of year you are not going swimming. But for golf and tennis as well as hiking you could not ask for better weather. So depending on what you like to do Hilton head is a fun place to be with a lot of choices  11/30/2010
