Barefoot Landing has a long and interesting history. It began in the early 1970s as a small shopping village called the Village of the Barefoot Traders. The village was located on 3.5 acres of land and contained 15 shops. The village was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it quickly became a thriving community.In 1988, the Village of the Barefoot Traders was completely redeveloped and expanded into a much larger complex called Barefoot Landing.
