Marisue Mullins (Marisue Mullins Real Estate)
The Hills of Texas - Lake Travis Real Estate. I moved to Austin, Texas about three years ago from Boston, Massachusetts all wide eyed and ready to hit the real estate market. It had been awhile since I had been in Austin, say like 1972 when I was a student at The University of Texas! All I seemed to remember from my days here were protest marches against the Vietnam War (my older brother was there) and fighting against the election of Richard Nixon for our President. For some strange reason, I don’t remember seeing the hills of Texas anywhere! My time was short lived here and I ended up graduating years later from a University in Northern California with a Degree in Business Finance. Upon my arrival, I was blown away at the beauty and recalled memories I had when I first visited the Tuscany region of Italy. My world travels had taken me to Tuscany a couple of times and in my youth dreamed of living there. Of course, we all know how life presents itself, marriage, babies, work…and then change and more change! So we go with the flow of it all – or – at least try our best to. But the dream of living in the rolling landscape of Tuscany did happen for me right here in The Hills of Texas around Lake Travis. I have been living in the beautiful Northwest Hills near Cat Mountain. I’m close to the Pennybacker Bridge than spans the Colorado River and can even envision my own medieval Ponte Vecchio running across the bridge entering Lake Travis. Well, okay, that might be a stretch but I’m creative!
What I’m really getting at here is to tell you that I have been practicing real estate now for 29 years. I’ve experienced many changing market climates, lived on both coasts and haven chosen Austin – The Hills of Texas – as my homestead. I can’t tell you how happy and blessed I am to live in such a beautiful area. I love helping my clients all along Town Lake and Lake Travis including gorgeous Westlake, Lakeway and Bee Cave. It’s a visual joy every time I leave my home! The water sports and playfulness of so much water just brings me back to being the kid again!
WESTLAKE HILLS (The Hills of Texas) LAKEWAY (The Hills of Texas)
BEE CAVE (The Hills of Texas) LAKE TRAVIS (The Hills of Texas)
Do I also need to include that Austin, Texas and the Lake Travis areas rank in so many #1 categories for employment, green living, sports and even health? Think I’ve made my point!
