in Galveston
Every year sailboats begin a race that takes them from Galveston Island, Texas to Port Aransas, Texas along the Gulf Coast, approximately 150 miles.

With all the destruction that Galveston suffered from Hurricane Ike in September of 2008, it's great to see some of our seawall businesses come back over the water. Many shops were destroyed from the crashing surf, including the historic Balinese Room.
