La Reata Ranch in the Rosanky area of Bastrop County Texas  is a rural residential subdivision offering larger lots/acreage located approx. 15 miles outside of Bastrop in the area of Rosanky on Highway 304.  La Reata has light covenanants allowing only site built homes.  The roads are paved, there is a community park area, and convenient community mailboxes.  Bastrop is 15 minutes away and Austin is about 45 minutes away.   12/23/2008

Just a short drive from Bastrop down Highway 304 you will come to 535 and The Wagon Wheel Gas Station - a great place to  grab a slice of pizze or a burger and gas up.  Right next door is The Owl  a dynamite western wear store that always has awesome prices and seasonal sales!  If you head east on 535 you will drive thru Rosanky Texas  which at one point was a booming little rail town  established in the mid 1800s as support to the local agricultural community.  Nowdays you will find a community center, churches, post office, local mom and pop store,  and some historical sites nestled in the middle of some beautiful farm and ranch properties.  11/26/2008

Delhi is an old established ranching community not too many miles outside of Rosanky, Texas.  Lots of local ranchers and horsemen have had to travel in to one of the larger towns for tack and feed but not now! A new store has opened up at the corner of  304 and 713, and I stopped in the other day while out putting flyers out at my two ranch listings in the area.  Being a horsewoman,  any time I see the words, tack or feed, I just have to stop and see!    The Tack Box has new and used saddles and offers saddle repair, and of course misc. new and used light tack.  They have a super selection of specialized Progressive Nutrition feeds.  Kellie, a paint horse owner, breeder, trainer,  runs the store and her husband is a  local farrier ( must be on a 6 week auto rotation with your horses to ... 01/08/2008

Yesterday I was in Rosanky,  and thought I would share some of the amenities that are right there at the corner of 304 and 713! The Wagon Wheel Gas and Go, Owl Western Wear, and Caribbean Tan!    You can get a slice of pizza or a freshly prepared burger at the Wagon Wheel  which has a full deli, with to go orders and a drive thru!  The store is a totally convenient, convenience store.  And the locals from many miles come and line up at lunch time.  There are even picnic tables out front to sit at and eat your meal! You can also get just about anything you might need for your home on short notice in the store,  and of course gas and diesel. At the same corner you can spend hours shopping in the Owl.........a western clothing store that has everything one could think of for man, woman, or... 01/06/2008
