My husband, Arthur, is a WW2 Marine vet. He served with the 6th Marine Division in the South Pacific, Okinawa and China. On Sunday, September 20 American Legion Post 10 in Manassas invited Prince William County WW2 vets to a luncheon. It's purpose was to prepare for a parade. On Veteran's Day November 7, the City of Manassas will hold its' Inaugural Veteran's Day Parade from 11:00 AM to Noon. WW2 vets will be featured in the parade. The last time veterans were in a parade in Manassas was 1911 when both Confederate and Union vets marched together as a sign of reconciliation.
