John's professional experience includes 17 years as a hospital executive. As the developer and founding CEO of Las Cruces' second hospital, MountainView, he and his family made the decision to make Las Cruces home.
John is very committed to the growth of the Las Cruces community. His community involvement includes: Chairman, Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance, Commissioner - District One, New Mexico Department of Transportation, Board Member, First Community Bank, Co-Chair - Mesilla Valley Hospice Capital Campaign, President - Rio Grande Rotary and Chair-Elect - Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce. John was named "Citizen of the Year - 2007" by the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Amy Carmichael. They have two sons, Alex and Sam. They are active in St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and are "avid" Aggie fans.
John is a liscensed REALTOR in New Mexico, Certified Real Estate Broker (CRB) and a Certifified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). As an owner / broker, John does not compete with his team of Associate Brokers but rather dedicates his time and energy developing strategies and support programs to make the Steinborn team successfull.
