StevesHomeSearch.com was born in 2002.Livermore Real EstateAs an active Livermore real estate agent born & raised in Livermore I knew I needed to accelerate with the times & establish myself online.The days of passing out flyers on your door step, showing up with my happy face at your door on a weekend morning selling myself in the real estate field was going to be short lived!
Although I will say that hard work does pay off pounding the pavement, I knew there had to be an easier way to connect with people in a way that intercepted my services right when they needed them most, while they where already shopping for homes online! I began to spend a few hours each day thinking about how I could take advantage of the internet. I spent many of days studying other realtor's sites, staying awake late nights, trying different things. Basically instead of pounding the pavement each day I started pounding the keyboard & my brain!After looking at hundreds of different sites the first thing I did was took note of all the things that irritated me the most about them & did the opposite with my site! Just to give you an example, I noticed that most realtors all have their name & then ".com" thats the name of there site. Well nobody really cares who you are; they are looking for a service, someone who can get them what they want on their terms, on their time with minimum bs while they are doing it. So I thought about what most people are doing on line for real estate, which is mostly searching for homes! So I came up with the simple name of "StevesHomeSearch.com"
Another thing that drove me nuts about all the other sites is you have to register & give all your info before you can do a home search & then you start getting called 10 times a day by Mr salesman realtor on your day off when all you wanted to do was window shop.......so I said ok I'm going to just make a simple site that allows people to get right on & tie into the mls & search for homes quick without having to give all there info.All my links go directly to useful sites without having to give any of your info!(unless you are contacting me for something specific)
One of the reasons realtors want that info is so they can call you & bug you with info that you didn't want them to have in the first place. Or they figure if you get the info from there site & go use another realtor for the deal then they lose out on a deal. Well I realized that I would take my chances & give people the info that they want first & if they choose to use me to get the deal done great, if not they probably where not going to use my services anyway & why would I want to bother them further? I want to work for people that want to work with me, period. I do not consider myself in real estate "sales". I consider myself a hard working, down to earth professional who is offering my experience & resources to help people get into homes.I do not need to "sell" anyone anything, my services are available to you at your request on your terms, at your pace.
My main focus is not how many real estate deals I can get done so I can get paid, but how I can provide people with what they want with my resources, experience & make a living as a benefit & reward of putting people & customer service first!
