I've been in real estate for 9 years now, brokering my own practice for 7 years.  In that time period, with each coming and going transaction, the one thing I've learned is how to bend and not break.  Douglas is a small town of around 6,000 consisting of 5-6 realty firms, meaning there's alot of competition.  I started out in this business as the youngest real estate agent in the area, fiesty and fighting full force for my client's needs and wants.  Over the years, plus with the responsibility of being a broker, I've learned the art of negotiating.  It wasn't something that came easy to me, and yes, it had to be learned.  Don't get me wrong, I still have that fight in me.  I'm afraid that'll never seize, but I"ve learned a little 'give and take' can go along way with dealing with other real estate professionals and can get the job done for my clients.

I specialize in residential, commmericial, and small acreage.  I usually refer out larger acerage and ranch inquiries.  I don't believe it's in your clients best interest to deal in a field one has little knowledge in. 

Buyers: I assist buyers from pre-qualification, finding the right home, all aspects of the contract-title work,inspections, insurance to closing the deal. I don't mind one bit working with buyers who have bad credit/credit issues.  These are the buyers who seem to be so greatful and appreciative for everything you've done to get them on their way to owning a home.  Yes it takes time, but it's usually so rewarding in the end. 

Sellers: I offer a wide range of commission options.  I identify the pros and cons of each option, then it's entirely up to the seller to chose.  example-My Exclusive Listing Option is the lowest commission rate available, but with this option, the listing does not get the exposure benefit of being listed in the mls and there is no compensation available for other realtors.  The listing will be featured on our firm's website, sign in the yard, our firm's listing booklets, and in the local newspaper.  Even though this option is available, I have many sellers who choose the highest rate possible because with this option, the listing is available on the mls and and compensation is high enough to entice other real estate agents to push this listing to their clients.
