My wife and I have just sold our home after just under 2 years on the market.
We had built a new home and our financial plan was to have our 1st home SOLD by the time the new house was completed. I have 25 years experience in the construction business and we completed the new house 2 months late and 15% over budget, but, on the whole, considered the venture a success. We had only bought one house in our lives and had no experience in Real Estate Sales. It was a very expensive decision we made to attempt to sell the 1st home ourselves.
At the time we put the house on the market, houses in the neighborhood were selling on a 60 day average. We thought our problem would be selling too quickly! Without the professional help and market knowledge of what was really going on in home sales, we found ourselves 1 year later with 2 house payments and the expenses of utilities on both properties. The financial (burden) was becoming unbearable.
We engaged the resources of Coldwell Banker, namely TOM AND BEV HERRING. From the first meeting to the last, the advice and professionalism that they brought to the process resulted in selling the house in less than 90 days (Realtor note: MLS showed sale to be 65 days) at a price we frankly didn't expect. We were extremely pleased with the extra effort they brought to our situation. They helped and coached us through a difficult time and we are deeply thankful.
