This past October, Rob and I decided to put our home up for sale. Rob's company was closing down and we wanted to work proactively to prepare for this. We knew that our home would most likely be on the market for a long time as homes at our price point ($400,000 and up) were not quickly selling in the South Eastern CT area. We also knew that our 16 year old home would appeal to only a limited number of people as it came with acreage, therefore a fair amount of maintenance. The process of selling our home in a poor economic situation caused us a lot of worry and concern.
