                                                                                                CHOOSING A REALTOR

  Selling or buying real estate will most likely be the most expensive endeavor you are a part of. Doesn't it make sense to choose an experienced, full time realtor who will make a commitment to take care of your best interest? I will make that commitment. Real estate is my career, not a hobby. I practice full time and am committed to being educated on the latest laws and techniques. This sets me apart from 90% of other REALTORS by allowing me to be a better representative and more effective negotiator for my clients.

  EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION  

  • Attended Michigan Tech University in Houghton, Michigan from 1985-87
  • Attended Grand Valley State University from 1987-90, majoring in Accounting
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent with the State of Michigan since 1998
  • Have been involved in approximately 250 transactions over the lasts 9 years averaging 30 closings per year for the past 6 years giving me lots of experience in different situations
  • 40 hours of state required licensing classes along with 6 hours per year of continuing education

AFFILIATIONS  

  • A member of the Grand Rapids, Michigan, and National Associations of REALTORS
  • A member of REBAC (Real Estate Buyers Agency Council)

                                                                                                DESIGNATIONS  

  • Currently hold the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation
  • I am ¾ of the way to completing the requirements for the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation
  • I aspire to gain the GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) designation and attain my Broker's license allowing me to practice on my own and not under another Broker if I so choose

  • Born in Detroit in 1967 and raised in the Upper Peninsula town of Bruce Crossing, but have lived in the Grand Rapids area since 1987 and currently reside in the Grand Rapids suburb of Jenison
  • Married to the former Kathy Wilcox of Jenison
  • Kathy and I have two children, Tommy and Anna and a spoiled Beagle, Skeeter
  • Passionate hunter, preferably Whitetail deer with Bow and Arrow
  • Attend Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jenison where I volunteer for the Food Pantry and have taught Sunday School and served on the Board of Elders
