About Irene:
Team Irene
I've been a Windermere real estate agent since 1999, and during that time I've been fortunate to work with a lot of wonderful clients, many of whom have ended up becoming my friends as well.
I love helping people get more value out of their real estate investments, whether it's through counseling home buyers about homes that have the best potential for good resale value, working with sellers to prepare their home in such a way that we can boost its market value before it even goes on market, or by providing remodeling and maintenance tips that help my clients make better choices.
I'm a member of the National Association of Realtors, an Accredited Buyer Representative, and I specialize in marketing homes for sale through in-depth pre-listing preparation and top-notch professional photography. I'm also a Washington state certified real estate clock hours instructor.
Tools For Real Estate
In 2005 I noticed that many agents, myself included, were having trouble getting good quality real estate information out to their clients consistently. It seemed that either I prepared it myself and it took so much effort that I only did it every six months, or I hired a service and it was never as good as I wanted it to be. At the same time, I was getting frustrated with the amount of paper wasted in the form of real estate marketing.
So, in 2006 I started ToolsForRealEstate.com, a service that sends out a completely written, professional quality email newsletter about real estate from agents to their clients. I write the articles myself and send the newsletter out to my own real estate clients each month, so you can imagine that I make sure the quality is top notch. The newsletters are very customizable and professional looking, are sent directly from the agents to their clients, and are always about something that helps the reader get more value, safety or enjoyment out of their real estate. (Who doesn't want that? :)
I also provide a lot of good tips and resources for real estate agents at the Tools For Real Estate Blog, especially when it comes to tech expertise. I know how easy it is for agents to become overwhelmed with new technology when they still need to take good care of their clients and generate new business at the same time. I enjoy presenting stress-saving solutions in ways that are simple for agents to implement.
Areas of Expertise
Team Irene
Home Buyer Consultation
I've never had to 'close' a home buyer
on a home purchase in my whole life - the concept just sounds totally out of context for the role of a Buyer's Agent.
What I've found is that if I properly educate people about the process of buying a home, what to look for, what to watch out for, and what features create the best potential for good resale value and enjoyment as a homeowner, then they know the right home when they see it.
That being said, part of my job is also to let you know if I think you're overlooking a home that is a great deal, or becoming too fond of a home that has significant problems.
In addition to helping you choose the right home, I work hard to come up with a correct market valuation, negotiate during the offer and home inspection, provide you with names of competent, honest service providers, and track your home closing carefully to make sure no last-minute snafus crop up.
Home Seller Services
If you're a future home seller who has been looking around at home listings online recently, chances are you've been shocked by how enormously bad some of the listing photos are. This isn't just something that affects your home with the online viewer, it also represents the type of experience people will have when they actually come to visit your home! (Although far fewer of them will, because the photos did not draw them in to begin with.)
I truly believe that by properly preparing a home before it's listed and then taking magnificent photos that show off its best features, it's often possible to boost a home's market value by a few percentage points before it even goes on market.
When I list a property I work hard with the sellers beforehand to create a plan that identifies and highlights the best features of their home so that they're obvious to home buyers viewing the home both online and off. This includes me hiring one of the best professional home photographers in Seattle (and boy, they are not all equal).
I also work hard to come up with an accurate, realistic market valuation that makes sense to you - one that allows your home to sell in a reasonable amount of time without making you feel like you left money on the table.
Tools For Real Estate
Real Estate Email Newsletter Services
If you're a real estate agent who has been struggling to get your marketing out consistently, would like to go more 'green' to keep up with an eco-friendly client base, or just need an incredibly easy solution to providing your clients and sphere with high quality real estate information, this service is for you.
When you sign up with our service, each month you get a beautifully written email newsletter about a pertinent real estate topic sent out directly from you to your clients and sphere. (When your clients hit 'Reply' their response goes straight back to you.) Each issue contains interesting, original material, and useful links that your readers will want to save for future reference.
Each month we send you a proof to review before it is emailed out, and you can also customize the content if you wish. There are six different color schemes for you to choose from, and we'll include your business photo, your personal choice of greeting and closing styles, and even your handwritten signature if you wish.
Because I've been in real estate for years, I know what holds agents up from getting started (or getting finished) with things, so I made sure the setup is completely easy. We actually do virtually all of it for you, even down to re-sizing your business photo for the web if necessary, and helping you get your client email list together.
You wouldn't believe how many internet marketers tell me we spend too much time writing our own articles and that we should just hire out for some cheesy graphics to throw into the newsletters - because 'real estate agents just want to get in front of their clients, they don't really care how'. No way!
What I love is that so many real estate agents sign up for our service saying that what won them over was the professional quality of the articles and the great look of the newsletter. The big truth here is that real estate agents really do want to send out high quality information to their clients, they just don't always have access to an easy solution. And as someone who really, really values her own time, the last thing I want to do is waste someone else's time by sending them an article that isn't really worth reading. So, we prepare each issue with the goal of making it something I would be glad that I received and opened myself.
Our service is very cost-effective, and we offer a money-back 100% satisfaction guarantee during the first 60 days so that you can try it out for two months absolutely risk-free. (After that you can still cancel at any time, there are no long-term contracts.)
