Description
Full-time real estate professional. More than full-time dad and husband.

About Us:

The Strawn family is easy enough to spot. We tend to travel in a crowd. There are eight of us. We're the ones with six kids in the white cargo van. When we moved to Beaufort in 1996, we had two children, which sounded like a good number at the time. Then we had another, and figured three was enough. Then we adopted a daughter, and again decided the family was probably large enough. Then we adopted again....and stopped again. Then my wife gave birth in September 2007 to what will certainly be our last child.........Right?

Life is good in Beaufort. Leaving our home in Atlanta for a small, coastal town may seem like an easy decision, but it was not. We knew NOBODY down here, and I was starting a new career, which did not go well.

The decision to stay in Beaufort was much easier. I can't do justice to the quality of life in Beaufort. All I can do is tell you it's a great place to live. We've been here since 1996, and I'm sure we'll be here in 2016.

I play keyboards from time to time in the praise band at St. Helena's Episcopal Church, and teach aerobics at the YMCA. Of course, the bulk of our non-working time is even better spent raising our kids. It's hard to imagine that six kids with the same parents could be so different, but it happens.

Areas of Expertise

From the historic homes of the Old Point, to the ocean-oriented properties on Fripp and Harbor Islands, to the neo-traditional charm of neighborhoods like Habersham, Beaufort's real estate market has something for everyone.

I love what i do. After 10 years, I am glad to say i can go to bed at night, looking forward to the 5 a.m. alarm, so I can get up and enjoy another day at work.

As our family has grown from four to eight, our needs have changed, and we have made several moves during our time in Beaufort. So I have the unique opportunity of having lived in a small ranch house in Burton, a downtown Beaufort home in the Historic District, a neo-traditional home in Habersham, and a home a few blocks from the beach on Fripp Island. So, if you're looking for someone who has professional expertise, but also someone who knows what it is like, first-hand, to live in various communities within Beaufort, I think I can help.
